Acceptable Use Policy
Effective October 2, 2026. Last updated October 2, 2026.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service and Website Terms. It applies to everyone who uses Othermile, including through the API, the MCP server and AI agents.
You may not use Othermile to:
- undervalue, misclassify or misdescribe goods, or make origin or CUSMA claims you cannot support, including by entering figures you know are false;
- split, route, relabel or misdeclare shipments to evade duties, taxes, tariffs, surtaxes, quotas or import bans;
- ship goods that are banned, restricted or need permits or licences you do not hold;
- deal with people, places or goods covered by Canadian, US or other sanctions or export controls that apply to you;
- mislead customers, authorities or anyone else, including by presenting an estimate as an official amount or a ruling;
- send personal information you have no right to share, or more than the service needs (such as customer names, street addresses or payment details);
- send false shopper reports, or collect reports under false pretences;
- access other customers' data or accounts, share your sign in or keys outside your business, or create accounts automatically;
- probe, scan or test the service for weaknesses without our written permission, interfere with it, get around request limits or security measures, or send traffic that degrades it;
- copy the service, take it apart or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows, or use it to build a competing product;
- resell the service, except as an agency under the Agency plan.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at info@othermile.com instead of testing further; we welcome reports made in good faith.
We may investigate suspected breaches of this policy, remove or block content or traffic, suspend or close accounts, with notice where practical, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
